Well, my sister told me that I needed to update my blog, so here I am. As normal, life is busy. School and work are schooley and workey, respectively, and I am still stressing out about getting into college.
In other news, I got netflix again, which I am excited about, especially because I’m going to be able to stream to my 360. I’ve been watching a few new shows lately, namely Fringe (which reminds me a lot of Eureka) and Dead Like Me. They are excellent.
Uh… what else… Oh! I’ve discovered that I love Nine Inch Nails, because they are quite awesome. I’ve also gotten into Orbital (oldschool techno) which is fun as well. Music helps me concentrate, which is nice because I can listen while doing homework, and sorta zone out a little while doing it. It makes it go like a million times faster.
Also, I’ve been sleeping fairly well, it’s probably because my stress levels are going down. With the exception of last night, I’ve had good sleep for like the past week, which was really really really needed.
Next week is vacation! I shall be bumming around and going to Vermont for Thanksgiving. However, my evil teachers have assigned me homework over vacation which is kinda not cool.
That’s all I’ve got!

So, I am adding 1/20/2009 to my list of important dates, along with 12/15/08 (college!).
I am so incredibly happy that Obama won. Yes. We. Can. Even though I couldn’t vote, I am still proud to have been a supporter. I’ve liked Obama from the get-go, even when my parents were for Hilary. It’s finally over though, which is a bit nice. As much as I love politics, school was actually getting kind of intense, for the first time I can remember, there has been actual strife caused over it.
And I think this is important. This year has had a record turnout for voting, and that excites me. This is not just an exciting day for African-Americans, this is not just an exciting day for Democrats, this is an exciting day for Americans.
McCain is now speaking, and I can still say I respect him very much. Although I didn’t agree with him, I know he only wanted what he thought was best for our country, and there could have been worse things than him being elected.
I am excited, I am ecstatic, I am in bliss. I think we are getting back on the right track, and hopefully the country can get moving again soon.

My sentiments exactly. If The Doctor was real, I would vote for him. He has a lot of experience!

Like 20 seconds ago, I hit the submit button for applying to Brown University early decision. Holy crap, that was stressful. I’ve been working on my application for about a month now, and by the end, I think I submitted a fairly accurate representation of me.
Now I get to wait. I believe I hear back from them on December 15th, and then I’ll know if I ever have to apply to college again. (Unfortunately I’ll need to start working on my Tufts and Columbia applications before I know if I got in, which is a bit of a bummer…)
Oh jeez, I am nervous. This is gonna change my whole life, and while I know I’ll be happy were I end up, I wasn’t lying on my application when I said that I fell in love with Brown.
Anyways, hopefully now I’ll have a bit more time for myself, because between taking 4 AP classes, applying to college, and Zak Strassberg Design I was dying slowly :-P.
I’m nervous but I know that I did the best job I could, I worked really hard, and hopefully I’ll succeed.

Between school and my college application I’m insanely busy. However, I’m still managing to get a bit of other stuff done. I have been doing stuff with friends, whether it be hanging out or movies or something else, which is nice. I have also been continuing my work in graphic design, and I’m midway through a redesign for some clients. Finally, I have started up a new project with a friend of mine for a web application for boaters. Hopefully it’ll go well and we can market it, I think I came up with a pretty unique idea and not only is it fun to work on but we can make money off of it in the end, which is always nice.
Anyways, come Saturday I should be much less stressed. College application is due and a new quarter of school starts (honestly though, who decided to put them so close?).
Hopefully updates will occur more regularly in the future!

As many of you may know, I loved 1984. Therefore, I was overjoyed when I found this website: Students for an Orwellian Society
Students for an Orwellian Society (SOS) is a nationwide student group. Although SOS has always been a nationwide student group, there is evidence to suggest that it first appeared at Columbia University. The mission of SOS is to promote the vision of a society based upon the principles of Ingsoc, first articulated by George Orwell in his prophetic novel, 1984.
How awesome is that! Whoever made this website rocks. Be sure to check it out!
